18,700 avian influenza fatalities reported so far

Avian influenza has now unfold throughout a number of states within the nation together with Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and extra.

It’s noticed on Jan 25, a complete of 260 poultry birds have been discovered lifeless in Maharashtra from numerous districts viz. Satara 2, Solapur 32, Jalgaon 165, Jalna 16, Nanded 3, Amravati 20 and 22 at Nagpur. Thus, in Maharashtra, a complete of 289 birds have died on Jan 25.

The samples are being despatched to the Nationwide Institute of Excessive-Safety Animal Illnesses in Bhopal and Illness Investigation Part, Pune for testing. A complete of 18,700 deaths of varied birds have been recorded until the date, since Jan 8.
