The reply states that solely tekdis/hills round Pune which fall in reserved forests are ruled by the rule.
It informs that in Pune metropolis space, there are primarily two forest ranges Pune and Bhamburda that are reserved forests and residents take their pet canine for walks there.
“Footpaths, public streets, grounds and open areas aside from reserve forests can be found within the metropolis with a purpose to stroll and train pet canines,’’ it mentioned, including that quite a few complaints have been acquired from residents who confronted issues from pet canines.
On March 19 petitioners’ advocates Kalyani Tulankar and Ajinkya Udane expressed shock that pet canines may pose a hazard to wild animals.
