Bird flu: 1804 more birds died in Maharashtra on Jan 23

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 24 (ANI): The Maharashtra Authorities on Sunday knowledgeable that as many as 1804 birds have died as a consequence of avian influenza on January 23.
“A complete of 17,249 deaths of assorted birds have been recorded until the date, since January 8,” the Maharashtra authorities mentioned.
“To this point 48402 poultry birds, 8 geese, 38519 eggs, and 54851 kg poultry feed have been destroyed from the contaminated zone,” it mentioned.
The Authorities of Maharashtra has sanctioned a compensation bundle of Rs 130 Lakh for
culling of poultry and different birds, eggs, and poultry feed and operational value of illness management inside one-km radius of the contaminated space, below the Chicken Flu Illness Management Program.
“This contains primarily laying birds as much as eight weeks of age at a value of Rs 20 per chook, Layer birds above eight weeks of age Rs 90 per chook, Broiler birds as much as six weeks of age Rs 20 per chook, Broilers above six weeks Rs 70 per chook, Poultry eggs Rs 3 per egg, poultry feed Rs 12 per kg, geese as much as six weeks of age Rs. 35 per chook and geese above six week age Rs. 135 per chook,” the state authorities mentioned.
