The central authorities mentioned that avian influenza or chicken flu has been confirmed in 9 states for poultry birds and in 12 states for crow, migratory and wild birds until now.
The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying mentioned until January 23, outbreaks of Avian Influenza have been confirmed in 9 states — Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab — for poultry birds and in 12 states — Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab — for crows, migratory and wild birds.
The ministry mentioned the samples of crow and pigeon submitted from Rudraprayag, Lansdowne Forest Vary and Paudi Forest Vary of Uttarakhand, pigeon samples from Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, crow and peacock samples from Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur have been discovered detrimental for avian influenza.
Management and Containment Operations (Cleansing and Disinfection) are occurring within the affected epicenters of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Kerala.
Farmers whose poultry birds, eggs and poultry feed have been culled or disposed of by the state got compensation as per the motion plan.
“The Division of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) gives funds to states on a 50:50 sharing foundation beneath Help to States for management of animal illnesses (ASCAD) element of its Livestock Well being and Illness Management Scheme,” the ministry mentioned.
