New Delhi, Jan 24 (PTI) The Centre on Sunday mentioned fowl flu in poultry birds has been confirmed from two locations in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra whereas in a crow pattern in Delhi.
Compensation is paid to these poultry farmers whose poultry birds, eggs and poultry feed are culled and disposed of, the federal government mentioned.
The central authorities supplies compensation to states on a 50:50 sharing foundation underneath the Livestock Well being and Illness Management scheme, it added.
To this point, fowl flu or avian influenza outbreak has been confirmed in poultry birds in 9 states — Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

In a press release, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying mentioned that the management and containment operations (cleansing and disinfection) are occurring in the remainder of the affected epicentres of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.
