At a time when a majority of the town residents are seeing birds with an eye fixed of suspicion, a gaggle of nature lovers try to identify and seize as many birds and totally different species on a given day.
The Chandigarh Chook Membership at present organised a chicken watching competitors, ‘Chook Race 2021’, during which 13 groups from the area took half.
The crew which spots and clicks the utmost variety of birds and species is said the winner of the competitors.
Crew Kestral gained the primary prize for recognizing 189 birds whereas Crew Black Baza stood second with their depend touching 186. Crew Falcon was declared third for recognizing 160 birds. Northern lapwing, a uncommon species of chicken, was adjudged the ‘Uncommon Chook of the Day’.
Chandigarh Chook Membership president Mitinderpal Singh Shekhon mentioned, “Crew Black Baza noticed the uncommon chicken at Mote Majra.”
Northern lapwing, also called the peewit, tuit or tew-it, is a chicken within the lapwing household. It is not uncommon via temperate Euro-Siberia.
The eleventh annual chicken race occasion was coordinated by Rima Dhillon, the final secretary of the membership.
Avid chicken watchers of the area participate within the competitors and kind groups, who go to numerous websites within the interstate Chandigarh area (ISCR) equivalent to Sukhna Lake, Chakki Mod in Solan, Morni Hills, Chhat village, Mote Majra, Siswan dam, Mirzapur dam in Mohali and different areas.
