Nepal [Kathmandu], January 31 (ANI): A whole lot of birds are culled in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Saturday as contemporary instances of Hen-Flu (H5N8) had been confirmed after a number of samples underwent checks in latest days.
In accordance with Nepal’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Growth press launch, there are confirmed instances of Hen-Flu at a farm in Tarkeshwor Municipality-7 in capital Kathmandu.
Not less than 1,865 geese, 622 quails, 32 chickens, 25 turkeys, 542 eggs and 75 kg hen fodder had been destroyed after detection of virus on the native farm, the discharge mentioned.
“An actual time PCR check performed at Central Livestock Analysis Laboratory confirmed the an infection,” the discharge said.
The ministry has requested poultry businessmen and farmers to tell authorities in case they believe uncommon conduct of birds.
Nepal’s Southern neighbour India in latest days had confirmed instances of Hen-Flu which led to deaths and culling of poultry to stop escalation. (ANI)
