Maharashtra: Rare migratory bird rescued in Thane city – India Today

An Indian Pitta, a uncommon migratory chook discovered within the Himalayas, was rescued by volunteers of an NGO in Thane metropolis of Maharashtra.

The colourful stubby-tailed chook was discovered exhausted within the Tembi Naka space on Saturday, the wildlife NGO mentioned in a launch on Monday.
