MOHALI: The Mohali district is now a chook flu free district, stated deputy commissioner (DC) Girish Dayalan. He stated no occasion of any kind of chook flu from layers or broiler poultry farms have been detected within the district.
He stated aside from the three poultry farms – Royal, Alpha and Evergreen – the poultry chook samples have examined adverse for the chook flu.
He stated, “The district is to date free from any kind of chook flu and round 97% of varied chook samples lifted from poultry farms in Kharar, Lalru, Derabassi and Zirakpur and different birds like pigeons and crows discovered lifeless in fields have examined adverse for the chook flu. He stated the Mohali administration through the oneweek course of culled as many as 85,000 poultry birds on the three poultry farms at Behra village in Derabassi and destroyed 125 tonnes of poultry feed.
He stated the 85,000 poultry birds have been culled at Alpha, Royal and Evergreen poultry farms. The culling course of began on January 22, which ended on January 29.
A complete of 26,438 birds have been culled on the Royal Poultry Farm, 29,045 at Alpha Poultry Farm and 28,867 at Evergreen Poultry Farm.
Dayalan stated the mainstay of stopping the unfold of the virus was performed on the two affected poultry farms of Derabassi after NIHSAD, Bhopal’s affirmation of chook flu pressure within the tissue samples forwarded for ascertaining the reason for the demise of the birds.
