Surveillance upped after bird flu in Sola | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: Surveillance was intensified in Sola on Friday, after a pattern of hen was discovered to be constructive for chicken flu on Thursday.
Suketu Upadhyay, deputy director, animal husbandry within the Ahmedabad district panchayat, mentioned that no culling exercise was undertaken on Friday, as there isn’t a poultry farm inside the containment zone. “Nonetheless, we’ve got taken up giant scale fumigation exercise within the containment zone of 1 kilometre radius,” he mentioned.
“Our groups have been working carefully with the well being division and different departments to make sure that no poultry merchandise are introduced in or are taken out from the surveillance zone, which is a 10km radius space,” he added.
